OK... in a freak change of events I decided to post a second update for the same week. I Know... I Know... while totally unorthodox I am attempting to see what reaction I will receive for such a bold move. I have always argued in favor of the benefits of quality versus quantity but I have since realized that the majority of my updates are severely lacking in both categories. Thus I am forced to compensate with an extra journal.

The truth is... unfortunately I will be undergoing surgery to remove bone from my ankle on Monday so therefore I will me even more unlikely to update in the days to follow mostly due to heavy doses of vicodin and mild animal tranquilizers. The latter of which will not be doctor prescribed but will be required nonetheless. See... for those of you who don't know me that well Im not the type of person who is ever content to sit & watch from the sidelines. In fact... such occasions could be viewed as cruel and unusual punishment for me, so I am going to need all the medication I can get to keep me from doing something stupid and landing myself back in the emergency room. On the brighter side, for those of you who suffer from severe motion sickness... being in the same room with me will no longer be a direct assault on your sanity. Anyways, all kidding aside, starting Sunday at Midnight I will be kept from food for over 18 hours and quite frankly thats beyond my ability to handle. We'll just see if the Doc can tell if I sneak a few Doritos earlier on Monday... that is as long as my breath doesnt give it away. Well anyways I do hope that you guys will pray for me and the doctors, but preferably more for me. I miss you all and I hope to be back to my old self in no time. Hoo Hoo... is there anybody out there? Well in light of all the rumors floating around that I had been viciously attacked by a heard of wild Gazelles (a funny but actually very acurate name for my younger siblings)... I figured it was time to update and spread the truth (or at least my version of it). So either I am in fact alive or maybe they must have Xanga in Heaven too... I'm not quite sure yet, but either way I feel pretty good. I just returned from my brief hiatus to Niagara Falls (the Canada Side) which was then followed by a short stay in the GREAT state of Michigan... which also included the World Famous Uram Family Reunion. I can honestly say, 2000 miles & 10 lbs later, that the trip was still a good idea. I know this is out of character for me but on a sadder note... I realized after this week that time is running out for our family to have trips like this. With everyone growing older and we begin forming our own agendas, finding a convenient time for everyone is becoming harder than figuring out what planet Michael Jackson came from. So to say the least this week was special and I am grateful for it. But now I'm home and ready to endure the last few weeks of relaxation before I head back to my home away from home in good ole Nashville. Well I feel that I have rambled enough this time. I apologize for getting sappy on you... I promise it doesnt happen often.

Brother, Bring the Sun

I Know I Know... I'm back to my old ways. I figure its about time I gave you guys a little bit of bathroom reading (well thats the only place I read). Anyways its time to fill you guys in on the mistress that has been keeping me away from you guys for so long. So here it goes... Sorta.

Well when I left you guys last time the Saga of my 21st year on this earth had just begun. Soon after that I got to head back to Nashville for freshmen orientation where I finally got to see a few of the cool people that I've met over the thrilling world of Xanga. It was really fun and I must say that they were even cooler in person than they appear to be online. I just hope that I didn't disappoint them because in you don't have a backspace key in real life. Anyways... I was real excited to hang out with some old friends while at the same time getting to welcome in all who are new to Good Ole TNU. I'm very excited about the big things that are going to come this year.

Since then I had the privilege of working with Camp Soar which is a camp for children with disabilities. It was a great experience working with those kids and the Crossroads Staff was amazing as well. Plus, it kept me from just sitting around all day and waiting for stuff to happen.

Then, I had the privilege of staying at my good friend Jess's house. I had the best time hanging out with the Dynamic Duo of Jess & Steph while introducing my little sister Tiffany to the World of Dave Barnes. So basically I got to hang out with 3 (sometimes 4 when Jess's sister Meg wasn't too cool) of the coolest and best looking girls East of the Mississippi (thanks with the Spelling) for an entire weekend. I ate more than I have eaten since leaving TNU and I got to see the house of my dreams (it had a movie theater).

So basically I have been having a great time but I do miss you all. I just hope that we can still be friends and that you guys still actually read this. Anyways... I wish you all have an amazing end of summer. Well thats all I've got to say. Later My Friends...

Does everybody know what time it is??? Tool Time... Wrong! It's time for you guys to sit back and listen to a little story about how I had one of the best weeks of my life without even leaving the comforts of my own home...

First, I would like to say that I have some of the coolest friends this side of the Mississippi. Earlier this year I mentioned that having a summer birthday kept me from having the huge birthday bashes that I every kid dreams of. So what do my friends do??? They drive a combined 37 hours 1 way just to come spend my 20th birthday with me. When the plan was first mentioned to my family my oldest little sister Tiffany quickly asked... "why would anyone drive here to see you?" Well the answer is... Free Food! Thats right I bribed them... but I like to think that in the end everyone had a blast and were thankful to have come. Even Tiffany ended up enjoying herself while making friends with these same "losers" who had made the pilgrimage to Greenville for her big brothers birthday.

I think that you can break our week down into 4 main areas... Shopping, Basketball, Playing Cards, and the Lake. Between those 4 things we were able to keep the party going for almost a full week. I can honestly say that after this week I am now suffering the full effects of sleep-deprivation but loving every minute of it. So I want to shout out to those individuals who made this week as amazing as it was... First to my girl Jess... who came early and missed a wedding just to be here. Second to the one and only Tim Shay who left from Nashville at the the first sight of Dawn's Butt Crack just to be at my house by noon, to my "everlasting hug" partner Stacy Maynard who called me from another continent just to wish me a happy birthday and I love her for it... Next to my old friend Meghan Willis who made the grueling 20 minute trip to my house from the other side of Greenville, then there was the inseparable duo of Ben and Jessica... I love them both, Graydon Tomlinson... whose music touches us all, for Will Long who made it out to the bowling alley at the last minute and didn't even bowl, John Barnes... who at times carried the conversation on his shoulders and let us use his boat (Thats my boy), to Anthony Goodin... who took time out of his busy and somewhat questionable lifestyle to be here, for D Cole and CB who ditched me half way through the week for a day of golf and a night on the lake, to Dan who has always been like a brother and fit right in with a pretty crazy Nashville Bunch, to my future roomy C Brew who my mom still hasn't stopped talking about, to my Best Friend Stephanie... who overcame her fear of Animals to spend a week on our "farm" just to make this week even more special for me, and finally to my Family who has shown me unconditional love for 20 Years and still has some to spare. I thank you all from the bottom of my heart. Now we have just a little less than 12 months to start planning for next year. Peace!

Ok Ok... the people have spoken, and I have heard your plea. I'm sorry to have forced you poor souls to go over a week without a new journal(a.ka. daily bread) for you guys to ponder. To tell the truth not much has happened other than lots of housework, but I have decided to awaken from my slumber and entertain you between naps. So here goes nothing... literally.

Things have simmered down around here since the Star Wars croonies have returned to the mothership and are currently using their Jedi powers for bigger things such as making Ramen Noodles and watching Star Trek re-runs. The biggest news is that in less than 2 weeks I will officially be leaving my teenage"hood" behind, and as I look back to the "golden" years of my life, I am almost saddened by the thought. I remember moments like going to High School, getting my license, losing my baby teeth, and my first sleepover... wait, sorry... I got a little carried away. HaHa! I must say that these have been some great years... but I am excited to see what adventures are "just around the river bend"(for all you Pocahontas fans) in my 20s. I know that as long as I have great friends and an amazing family, then things could never be too bad. So whether its graduating from College(hopefully... jk), sitting jury duty, or running for President... I'll be ready. Anyways, I hope that this wasn't too sentimental for all you folks. And as for you first time readers, I promise that this is Sappy as I get and this probably will never happen again. So... Ya'll come back now... y' hear?
